About the Position

Platform Product & Growth Lead – AI Platform (TiONA) (f/m/d)

COMPARUS GmbH is seeking a Platform Product & Growth Lead for their AI Platform (TiONA) to drive product strategy and growth in a hybrid work environment.

Role Description

This role is not a traditional product owner or feature management position, nor is it a status-driven role within a hierarchy. It involves taking overall responsibility for the product, platform, and ecosystem.

We are looking for someone who views the product not as a collection of features, but as a value-creation system:

  • for customers
  • for measurable usage and adoption
  • for sustainable platform and ecosystem growth

You will bear clear, binding product responsibility with a direct mandate to prioritize and strategically steer the platform. You will report directly to the management team and play an active role in shaping product and growth decisions.

Context

COMPARUS develops solutions for agile IT transformation and operates its own scalable SaaS platform, TiONA.

TiONA is more than a product:

  • a platform that connects processes, data, AI, and people
  • a platform that is only successful if it is understood, used, and recommended by customers

Our standards are high:

  • we want to build one of the best platforms of its kind
  • not the one with the most features, but the one with the strongest pull in the market

Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Systems Thinking

  • Development and continuous refinement of a clear product and platform strategy
  • Analysis of the market, target groups, competition, business models, technology trends, and AI potential
  • Translation of strategic goals into rigorous product and growth decisions
  • Orchestration of central and decentralized product components into a coherent overall system

Customer Centricity and UX

  • Close, regular engagement with customers through direct dialogue
  • Responsibility for an end-to-end product experience that promotes usage, loyalty, and word-of-mouth
  • Responsibility for the targeted and responsible use of AI to simplify, support, and accelerate user tasks
  • Ensuring that AI features are integrated into the user experience in a way that is understandable, transparent, and trustworthy
  • Close collaboration with UX/UI, Research, and Design
  • Using qualitative and quantitative user research as a basis for decision-making

Platform Growth and Adoption

  • Responsibility for adoption, activation, retention, and word-of-mouth promotion of the platform
  • Responsibility for the targeted use of AI features to shorten time-to-value, remove barriers to use, and significantly improve decision-making and work processes in customers’ day-to-day lives
  • Establishing and further developing mechanisms that systematically promote usage, retention, and referrals
  • Aligning product decisions with the business model, pricing, distribution, and go-to-market strategy
  • Close collaboration with Sales and Marketing, without relinquishing responsibility for growth

Data- and AI-driven Decision-making

  • Establishing and steering data-driven product and impact development
  • Use of data and AI-driven analytics to improve prioritization, hypothesis formation, and validation of product and growth decisions
  • Defining and utilizing clear product, usage, and impact metrics
  • Taking responsibility for product discovery, experiments, and validated learning
  • Ensuring that decisions are transparent, traceable, and measurably effective

Organisation and Collaboration

  • Taking overall systemic responsibility for product development across engineering, UX, business, and services
  • Actively fostering alignment between technical, business, and user-centred goals – even in the face of conflicting objectives
  • Ensuring that decisions are not made in isolation, but within the context of the overall product and its impact
  • Early identification of dependencies, side effects, and scaling risks
  • Further development of the product organization towards a genuine focus on outcomes and impact
  • Establishing clear priorities, focus, and decision-making capability despite uncertainty
  • Promoting cross-functional thinking rather than functional silos

Expected Impact

After 30 Days

  • A clear picture of the product, users, market, and growth levers
  • A shared understanding of where value, usage, and growth arise – and where they do not

After 60 Days

  • Refined product and growth strategy with clear priorities
  • Initial valid insights into adoption, activation, and usage
  • Noticeably better integration of Product, UX, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing

After 90 Days

  • The platform develops rigorously in line with usage and growth targets
  • Measurable improvements in adoption, UX quality, focus, and time-to-value
  • Product decisions are data-driven, transparent, and effective

6–12-Month Outlook

  • TiONA is perceived as a clear, loveable platform with its own distinct identity
  • Growth is driven by usage, word-of-mouth, and ecosystem effects
  • The product is a key growth driver, not merely a feature provider

Requirements

  • Proven experience in positioning, prioritizing, and effectively implementing AI not as an end in itself, but as an integral product component for solving real user problems
  • Ability to evaluate AI use cases in terms of user value, comprehensibility, trust, scalability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Experience in building or further developing AI-powered product features with a measurable impact on usage or the business model
  • Several years’ experience in product leadership with a proven track record of driving growth
  • Experience with B2B SaaS, platform, or ecosystem products
  • Strong systemic understanding of product, growth, business models, and platform dynamics
  • Proven track record in customer research, discovery, and growth-oriented product development
  • Ability to translate impact into usage, adoption, and business success
  • Enjoyment in making complex systems understandable, usable, and desirable
  • Hands-on mentality without micromanagement
  • Very good German language skills (C1) and good English language skills (min. B2)

What We Offer

  • A strategically central product and growth role with real influence
  • Responsibility for a scaling platform and its ecosystem
  • Freedom to shape product strategy, UX quality, and growth
  • Close collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Marketing on an equal footing
  • Short decision-making processes, no title politics, no feature theatre
  • International environment, remote in Germany or hybrid (Hamburg)
  • Attractive remuneration commensurate with your responsibilities
  • Development based on your impact, not a career path

Cultural Fit

Our focus isn’t always constant, but our sense of responsibility is.

This role is for you if you:

  • See product as a lever for growth, not as a backlog
  • Want to build systems that are used and recommended
  • Value customers more than internal opinions

If, on the other hand, you see product primarily as a coordination or conceptual task and view growth as outside your remit, this role is probably not the right one for you.
