Job description

About the Position

Pricing Analyst

Sollers Consulting is more than a consultancy and software integrator. As a company founded in 2000, our mission has been to transform the financial & insurance industries by helping them adapt to new technologies.

The power of collaboration and the limitless potential of Sollers people are at the root of our success. We strive to be the best at what we do, both in the eyes of our team and our customers. We put people at the heart of every project.

Join us and make Sollers be driven by… you!

In the insurance industry, pricing has become a key differentiator for gaining market share and maintaining profitability. Success depends not only on access to data, but also on the ability to act quickly in response to shifting market conditions.

At Sollers, the mission of the Pricing Competency is to provide insurers with the tools and capabilities they need to develop precise and flexible tariffs, optimize their pricing strategies, and give pricing teams the independence to implement changes without relying on internal IT teams.

Responsibilities

  • Be a part of consulting or implementation team during IT projects for financial institutions, primarily insurance companies.
  • Work closely with actuaries, pricing analysts, software engineers, solution architects, and business teams.
  • Design, build, and maintain risk and pricing models.
  • Develop, migrate, and configure pricing tariffs and models in modern pricing engines.
  • Automate pricing processes and support tariff management within pricing platforms.
  • Support insurers in implementing and optimizing modern pricing solutions.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in insurance pricing, actuarial modeling, or pricing analytics.
  • At least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in mathematics, statistics, data science or any related field.
  • Good understanding of GLMs, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques.
  • Experience working with insurance pricing data and building risk models.
  • Practical experience with Python or R for data analysis and model development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
  • Great command of the English language (at least C1), being fully confident collaborating with English native speakers.
  • Understanding of Agile ways of working.
  • Ability to work in Poland and the European Union on a full-time basis.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with pricing engines (for example Earnix, PricingCenter, or hyperexponential (hx)).
  • Experience in system analysis.
  • Team leadership skills and management experience.
  • Additional languages.
  • Willingness to work with international clients and travel occasionally (up to 50% of working time when required).

We Offer

  • Flexible working hours and a hybrid home office model (2-3 times per week in the office) as work-life balance is crucial at Sollers.
  • A chance to be promoted twice a year and a clearly defined career path with salary forecast.
  • Opportunities for growth with a training budget that you can use for courses and conferences. We also provide access to an online training platform and co-fund language classes.
  • An internal coach to guide you through the onboarding, further training and career opportunities, plus a budget to be used for your lunches together.
  • A chance to #domore for the planet and the community as part of Sollers Change Makers – our volunteering program.
  • Lots of teambuilding activities, trips, hobby groups and cultural events to create a company powered by teamwork.
  • Probably all the benefits you can think of!

Reasons to Join

Dominik, Business Analyst

Joining Sollers was a decision driven by the interest in working on diverse insurance-related projects in a truly international environment. I love that every client brings unique challenges which require a different set of technical and financial skills.

What I value the most is the commitment of Sollers to continuously learn and adapt. Whether it's acquiring new skills or languages, support is always available. Additionally, the focus on team-building through various integration activities make our workplace more collaborative and enjoyable. It's a fantastic environment for growth and connection.

Łukasz, Senior Analyst

I started my adventure in Sollers in September 2021 as a Senior Analyst on a UK project that involves multiple vendors and people from all over the world. Internationality and teamwork are the two aspects I value the most in my daily work. Not only do we have nine offices in Poland but also seven around the globe. That gives us the possibility to travel and meet people from different business cultures.

A game changer for me is the vision and stability, because Sollers, unlike most of the competition, is run by the same guys that have founded it over 20 years ago. This means that the top management is easily approachable and your voice will be heard. The company really is driven by people.
