About the Position

Process Intelligence & AI Consultant (f/m/d)

COMPARUS GmbH is seeking a Process Intelligence & AI Consultant to leverage AI and process mining for data-driven solutions in the financial sector.

About the Company

COMPARUS develops data-driven process and analytics solutions and operates its own platform, TiONA. We combine consulting and product development end-to-end – from requirements and data engineering through process mining and analytics to operations.

Responsibilities

Process Mining & Data Analysis

  • Delivering client projects in the field of process mining – primarily for clients in the financial sector
  • Use of IBM Process Mining to analyse, visualise and identify concrete optimisation potential from real-world data
  • Development, enhancement and maintenance of Python-based data processing pipelines for process data
  • Integration of data processing pipelines into the TiONA platform, which is based on microservice architecture

AI utilisation & innovation

  • Consistent use of AI tools in day-to-day work: coding assistants, LLMs for analysis, processing and documentation – AI is not a nice-to-have, but your daily working method
  • Execution of proof-of-concept projects on the use of AI in client projects, showcases and internal initiatives
  • Active integration of new AI methods and approaches into existing process and analytics solutions
  • Helping to shape the AI strategy within the Process Intelligence team

Project Management & Consulting

  • End-to-end responsibility for client projects: from supporting sales meetings and preparing quotations to agile implementation in cross-functional teams
  • Agile project planning and management of multiple concurrent projects
  • Facilitating and leading client workshops for requirements analysis and knowledge transfer
  • Comprehensive stakeholder management: from acting as the technical point of contact in the operational sphere to presenting at management level
  • Collaboration with external sales partners and technology suppliers

Technical leadership & team development

  • Technical leadership responsibility in project teams of 3–5 members
  • Coordination of the Process Intelligence team across multiple concurrent client projects
  • Onboarding of new team members as well as technical support and mentoring of junior colleagues
  • Involvement in the recruitment process (initial digital interviews, face-to-face second interviews)

Requirements

Must-haves

  • More than three years’ professional experience in data analysis, data engineering or business intelligence
  • Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy) for data processing and analysis
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases as well as data modelling
  • Knowledge of process mining – ideally with IBM Process Mining, Celonis or comparable tools
  • Experience in agile project work and taking on project responsibility
  • Strong communication and presentation skills: confident manner when dealing with clients and at management level
  • Degree in (Business) Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or a comparable subject
  • Very good German language skills (C1) and good English language skills (B2)

AI expertise – not a ‘nice-to-have’, but a fundamental requirement

  • Active and demonstrable use of AI tools in day-to-day work (e.g. coding assistants, LLMs)
  • Willingness and ability to consistently use AI as a lever for efficiency, quality and speed
  • Openness to continuously developing existing working methods using new AI methods

Nice-to-have

  • Industry experience in financial services, banking or insurance
  • Knowledge of visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, matplotlib)
  • Experience with microservice architectures and version control (Git)
  • Basic knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics
  • Experience with proof-of-concept projects in the AI field
