About the Position
Trade Marketing Professional
Nairobi, Kenya
Own the business, not just the sale.
Commercial roles here go far beyond a standard sales pitch. You will operate in a true O+O (Offline + Online) environment, connecting physical shelves with digital carts across everything from mass market to luxury boutiques and social commerce. The expectations are high: you will negotiate directly with major retailers, take early ownership of your strategy, and manage a real P&L (Profit and Loss). If you want to build sharp omnichannel skills and see your decisions directly impact how the world buys our iconic brands, this is where you do it.
Responsibilities
- Deliver annual category and channel plans, managing trade investments and promotional budgets to drive category growth and target delivery across the channels.
- Lead promotional strategies and 4P execution aligned with brand priorities, partnering with media, finance, and consumer marketing teams to optimise return on investment.
- Steer demand planning by identifying key growth drivers, coordinating sales forecasts with supply services, and translating retail audit data into actionable insights.
- Direct point-of-sale material (POSM) development, production, and deployment, managing merchandising, collaborating with agency partners to maximise store impact.
- Steer the field visibility and Beauty Advisor activation strategy, tracking retail excellence and responding quickly to local competitive market shifts.
Requirements
- Commercial Acumen: Proven track record steering trade investments, promotional strategies, and category growth within diverse retail environments.
- Channel Strategy: Substantial expertise executing in Modern Trade and traditional channels, managing distributor partnerships, and driving in-store visibility.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong capability to interpret market and retail data to build accurate sales forecasts and spot category growth drivers.
- Operational Excellence: Experience managing external agency partners, overseeing POS production cycles, and ensuring timely retail rollout.
