Trainee/Junior Platform Engineer (Salesforce)

Join our team as a Trainee/Junior Platform Engineer focused on Salesforce Marketing Cloud. In this role, you will support the deployment and configuration of marketing campaigns for a platform used to deliver premium travel and hospitality experiences around major sporting and entertainment events. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, helping ensure campaign accuracy, data quality, and reliable execution while building hands-on experience with marketing automation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the configuration and deployment of marketing campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including emails, customer journeys, and basic automations
• Support the creation and maintenance of data extensions, subscriber lists, automations, and other Marketing Cloud assets
• Help implement audience segmentation using SQL queries, data filters, and Contact Builder
• Collaborate with senior team members to support data integration activities and accurate campaign execution
• Perform QA testing of campaign assets before deployment and help identify and resolve basic issues
• Document configurations, deployment processes, and implementation details according to established standards
• Work closely with marketing and engineering teams to support campaign delivery and platform improvements
• Stay up to date with Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities and marketing automation best practices

Requirements

• Recent experience working with Salesforce or completion of Salesforce CRM courses
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Strong interest in building a career in MarTech
• Motivation to develop expertise within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem
• Strong attention to detail when working with campaign assets, data, and configurations
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Upper-Intermediate level of English or proven experience of effective communication with international colleagues/clients

Nice to Have

• Basic knowledge of SQL for audience segmentation and simple data manipulation
• Experience supporting email campaigns and marketing automation activities
• Understanding of subscriber management, data quality practices, and marketing campaign execution
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript
