About the Position

Akurateco is a global SaaS platform that turns complex payment processing into a seamless, fully brandable experience for our clients. As we rapidly expand across Europe, Africa, and LATAM, we’re looking for bold professionals to join our journey. We provide the rock-solid technology; you provide the drive to take it to the next frontier.

We are looking for an experienced VP of Sales in Europe to lead our commercial growth across the European market.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the European commercial strategy.
  • Build and manage the enterprise sales pipeline.
  • Personally originate, negotiate, and close strategic enterprise opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with C-level executives, including CFOs, Heads of Payments, Treasury, Risk, Fraud, Partnerships, and E-commerce leaders.
  • Lead forecasting, account planning, and sales performance management.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Compliance, Legal, and Operations teams.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences across Europe.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development.
  • At least 4 years in a senior commercial leadership role (VP Sales, Regional VP, Commercial Director, Managing Director, Head of Enterprise Sales, Head of Merchant Sales, VP Business Development, or similar).
  • Strong experience in the payments, fintech, acquiring, or merchant services industry.
  • Proven success managing complex enterprise sales cycles and multi-country commercial negotiations.
  • Demonstrated ownership of revenue targets, sales quotas, or payment volume.
  • Experience building outbound sales pipelines and opening new markets.
  • Strong leadership and people management experience.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Europe.
  • Fluent English.

  • Experience working both for a payment service provider (PSP, Acquirer, FinTech) and an enterprise merchant.
  • Existing network across European merchants, marketplaces, fintech, or e-commerce companies.
